Women have always been extraordinarily important in Delicius because the delicacy and sensitivity displayed by women have always been an integral part of our skill set. But we have always wanted to think that this delicate but at the same time tenacious professionalism is also part of our DNA in the apical positions where we are traditionally used to seeing men. We could share several examples, but on this special occasion we have decided to tell the story of Mira, Delicius master salter, because this girl’s story tells the story of our company and makes us proud. Mira began her professional career as a simple filleter, and thanks to her great sensitivity and intelligence, she broke through the clichés, serving different roles, until she became a master salter. This role is extremely important in our industry and has traditionally been performed by men, to the point that there is no feminine word for her job! Believing in women means ensuring equal career opportunities and working to ensure the utmost respect across all positions, without prejudice, a goal that we set ourselves every day, in all our plants, nurturing individual aptitudes and skills of all our workers, and working to fight discrimination of any kind.
