Mare Nostrum is an exhibition that raises awareness of the environmental issues compromising the marine ecosystem’s delicate balance. Organized to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Delicius, the exhibition has been curated by Irene Rizzoli (CEO of Delicius Rizzoli SpA, a Benefit Corporation) and architect Dario Costi.
It is a journey of exploration, persuasion, and emotion, guiding visitors through fundamental values that the sea offers to the planet and the human beings who inhabit it.
From the sea and its creatures, humans have much to learn—such as the way fish move in unison, organize themselves into schools, and coordinate their movements. Likewise, people should recognize the importance of individuality, the value of togetherness, and the necessity of coordinating their efforts in the increasingly urgent battles for the environment and nature.
